CAM Output Is Not Generated Automatically When Completing the Design

CAM output files are generated automatically only when local manufacturing is selected in the order form.

If external manufacturing is selected, CAM output files are not generated automatically. This is expected behavior.

To generate CAM output manually, press “F7” or right-click the order, select "Advanced", and then select "Generate CAM Output".

If local manufacturing is selected and CAM output is still not generated automatically, review the possible causes below.

Cause 1: The Design Was Not Closed Correctly

If Dental Designer is closed using the “X” button instead of the "Close" button, the software does not proceed with automatic CAM output generation.

Resolution

Step 1: Complete the design.

Step 2: Click "Close" to finish the design instead of closing Dental Designer using the X button.

Cause 2: An External Manufacturer Has the Same Name as the Local Manufacturer

If an external manufacturer has the same name as the local manufacturer ("This Site"), Dental System may interpret the order as using external manufacturing.

Resolution

Step 1: Open "Dental System Control Panel".

Step 2: Open "Manufacturers".

Step 3: Compare the manufacturers in the list with the local manufacturer configured under "This Site".

Step 4: If an external manufacturer has the same name as the local manufacturer, rename or delete the duplicate manufacturer.
